Discover key psychoanalytic concepts and how they apply in the consulting room and beyond.

September 20th, 2023 - March 20th, 2024

Whether you are completely new to psychoanalysis, or you wish to deepen the knowledge you already have, the Introductory Lectures will help you discover key psychoanalytic concepts and how they apply in the consulting room and beyond.

You'll hear from psychoanalysts at the forefront of psychoanalytic practice, including those who have trained, taught and supervised at leading universities and treatment centres like the Tavistock Clinic, The Portman Clinic and the Maudsley Hospital.

These lectures will last for approximately one hour and will cover a variety of topics. You'll have the opportunity to ask the lecturer questions during the Q&A session.

Following the lecture, there will be a short break before we move into smaller discussion groups. These groups, lasting 40 minutes, provide the setting for collaborative exploration and deepen your understanding of the lecture's themes. You'll stay in the same discussion group throughout the term, fostering a supportive environment where you can delve into the topic together. We are offering an AM seminar group and recordings of most lectures for those who cannot attend on Wednesdays. (AM seminar group spaces are limited, please choose that option when completing the registration form by clicking 'register now')

We will provide a comprehensive reading list and core reading material for each lecture. This will ensure you have the necessary resources to expand your knowledge beyond the lectures.

Join us for a stimulating series of lectures, discussions, and personal growth.
